GENERAL HELP

Hello everyone!

If you have any questions or may be a bit confused see below.

Are you booked to work as an extra and not sure where to go?

-If you are booked on a certain day, all of the info (time to arrive, wardrobe, location, etc) will be updated as soon as production notifies us.

-We always get all of the information you will need the night before shooting.  That being said, continue to check the “calltime” link until it is updated.

-From time to time (if the shoot is in the afternoon) all of the information that you are looking for may not be updated until the morning OF the shoot.

Are you concerned that you do not have what wardrobe has specified?

-It is always safe to bring as many options that are as close to what we specify as possible.

-Wear one of your options and bring 3 more to be safe.   This will make the costume designer happy and everyone wins!

-Never bring clothes with logos!

-Never wear flip flops to set unless specified.

Are you not sure where the set is?

-We always specify locations on the site the night before.   NEVER NEVER NEVER wake up, get in the car to leave, and depend on your GPS to get you there.  Googlemap it the night before just to be safe!

When do i get paid?  How do i get paid?

-Caballero Casting, LLC is not your employer.  We do not pay you.  The production payroll company pays you.   When you arrive and get checked in, the production assistant will hand you a voucher.   This voucher states who your employer is.   Fill out this thouroghly form front and back.  To ensure rapid payment fill out the voucher completely.  We always highlight what you need to fill out.

-Please bring a copy of your drivers license.

-Payroll companies pay out extras between 2-4 weeks.

-It is IMPORTANT that you keep the pink copy of this voucher.   This way, you can call them and ask about the status of your check.   (The number is listed on the voucher).

I get a call about working the next day and I am not sure what to say?

-If one of our bookers calls you about working last minute, NEVER say yes just to say yes.  If you are unsure simply say “may i get back with you?”.   This will save us all extra steps.  If you cannot work and decline to work it WILL NOT make or break you.  We will continue to call you for other projects.

Can i call the office to get booked?

-Do not call the office to get booked unless we call you and leave a message for you to call back OR unless we post a casting that says “to get booked please call…”.

Should I arrive to set early?

-ABSOLUTELY!  If you arrive early no one may be there but that is OK.   Simply wait until the actual calltime and you will see crew members arriving.
